Welcome to our website! The LGA is pleased that you are interested in our company. Protecting your personal data is something we take seriously as we would like you to feel safe and comfortable when visiting our site.

Acquiring and processing personal data
As a rule, you can visit the LGA website without us asking you for any personal data (storing and using cookies, etc.).

Personal details are only acquired when you give them to us, for example in the course of registration, a survey or for the implementation of a contract.

Use and transmission of personal data and earmarking
Any personally related data in the LGA's Internet services is acquired, processed and used in accordance with the valid regulations for the protection of personal data, and solely for the purposes of contract handling and the protection of our own business interests such as consultancy and service for our clients and interested parties.

This data is disclosed by the user on an expressly voluntary basis. The use and payment of all services offered is also permitted - as far as technically possible and reasonable - without revelation of such data or using anonymous data or a pseudonym.

Right of information and public procedural register
On request, we will inform you in writing, in accordance with current law, if personal data on you is stored by us, and if so, what.

We have summarized the details for you in a procedural registerprocedural register, in accordance with section 4e of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

Security
The LGA uses technical and organisational security measures to protect the data you have entrusted to us from accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction or access to unauthorised persons. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

Procedural register (public)
Section 4g of the BDSG stipulates that the delegate for data protection has to make the following details available to everyone in a suitable way, in accordance with section 4e:

(D) Purpose of data acquisition, processing or use
The LGA is a technical service provider for consumers, industry, trade and the public sector. Its services include examinations, certification, testing and expert opinion, as well as consultancy and training.

Its stated objectives are safety, quality and reliability, as well as environmental protection and efficiency.
Data acquisition, processing and use serve to further the objectives given.

(E) Description of the groups of people affected and the relevant data and data categories
Customer data, staff data and data on suppliers, in so far as these are necessary to fulfil the objectives given in (D).

(F) Recipients or categories of recipients who may receive the data
Public bodies, in cases of priority legal requirements, external contractors in accordance with section 11 of the BDSG, and external offices and internal departments of the LGA for the purpose of the objectives listed in (D).

(G) Regulated intervals for the deletion of data
The law provides for a variety of storage periods and duties. After expiry of these periods the data is deleted as a matter of routine. If any data is unaffected by this, it is deleted when the objectives listed in (D) no longer apply.
