Information about ban on two flame retardants

In compliance with European guideline 2003/11/EG, which is transfered in the Germann law Chemikalienverbotsverordnung and Gefahrstoffverordnung, starting the 2004-06-30 it is not allowed to issue products which are containing the flame retardants pentabromodiphenylether and octabromodiphenylether in a higher concentration than 0.1 mass percent. Since 2003-09-04 this European guideline is German law.

This statutory regulation is concerning every kind of products, for example

building materials
electrical appliances
tools
fixtures
...

The LGA QualiTest GmbH for product testing an certification offers a service to determine this flame retardants in every material.
