Structural analysis

The staff of the structural analysis division are responsible for the safety of buildings, bridges, underground railway tunnels and even roller coasters. They test the stability of individual building constructions in cases of medium difficulty on behalf of the builder/buyer, test special constructions under the building supervisory approval system, and carry out type testing throughout Bavaria.

Members of the structural analysis division are active in a number of specialist areas, such as:

• building examinations
  (reinforced concrete constructions, masonry constructions, steel and composite constructions, wooden constructions, surface and underground workings, bridges and pre-stressed concrete constructions)
• bridges and pre-stressed concrete constructions
  (checking the condition of existing bridges - building tests to DIN 1076)
• temporary constructions
• load-bearing glass constructions
• load-bearing structures made from plastics

LGA test offices for structural analysis

The heads of all these test offices and their deputies are responsible experts for stability.
