Pre-stressed concrete bridge
Pre-stressed concrete bridge
Every bridge construction must satisfy the particular conditions of the area to be bridged, of the underground and the traffic to be expected.

The tasks that were assigned to the LGA experts require profound competence in spanning and arched structures: the field of testing large bridges reaches from supporting structures such as falseworks, formworks or auxiliary braces to substructures and superstructures of the structure being constructed or completed.

The LGA Division of Structural Analysis is also occupied with monitoring the condition of existing bridges.

Testing and inspection in accordance with DIN 1076

Bridge constructions, steel or steel composite bridges must be regularly supervised. Testing and inspection according to DIN 1076 also refers to civil engineering structures such as abutments, retaining walls, tunnels, noise protection walls, halls, platform roofings. DIN 10776 regulates the scope of testing also the intervals between testing. Following DIN 1076 the civil engineering structures shall be approved every three years within the scope of a visual inspection (simplified inspection) and every 6 years the main test shall take place.

Why bridge testing in accordance with DIN 1076?

Only experienced expert engineers were allowed to inspect bridges. Basically, the bridge tests aim to improve the safety of the bridges and the people who are entering the bridge. But bridge testing is also regarded to be an important economic factor: Early detecting and isolation of deterioration are vital to safe money. Repairs in such an early stage do not require large capital expenditures. Therefore, the Federal Ministry for Traffic and Transportation is regulating controls for structures related to highways.

The LGA offers...

The LGA is represented in Bavaria with 20 branches offering expert knowledge in bridge testing. Experience and competence offered by LGA expert engineers always close to your location!

For more complex projects the LGA disposes of efficient test machines for laboratory-based testing so that the full potential in material testing may be exhausted to find the correct solution. Experienced LGA geologists and LGA geotechnical engineers are available for solving problems in the foundation area.

Even for challenging projects we offer large-scale experience and create interdisciplinary solutions to problems. Our fees are competitive, economically interesting and we are open for negotiations.

As a corporate under public law we guarantee confidentiality and absolute objectivity.
