LGA expert engineers specialized in steelwork projects check the documented evidences of conformity for structures of all types and supervise the design execution from office buildings to nuclear power plants.

LGA engineers are specialized in various fields of structural design calculation, such as -

Steel- and composite construction

When checking the certificates of conformity of steel - and composite constructions as well as tank and container constructions the use of computer systems plays an important role.

Masonry

The structural integrity of masonry may be verified by using a simplified method provided that certain conditions were met. Using the more exact procedure to check the documents of conformity is more time-involving but material saving.

Woodwork

A little one family house but also a complicated load bearing structural system may be designed by using wood thus representing a very interesting and popular alternative solution to replacing other building materials.

LGA engineers test design calculations for timber houses, fodder fermenting silos, industrial buildings such as halls and noise protection walls.

Currently, the most impressive project the LGA engineers are responsible for is the underground railway (subway) construction in Nuremberg.

Depending on the underground and surrounding building areas the whole diversity of construction methods were applied:
For example, open cut tunneling for sand-bearing underground and low depths. The Austrian way of tunneling using sprayed concrete was utilized for rocky regions.
For bigger buildings that may be found in particular in the inner city, excavations, re-establishing the foundation of the neighboring houses as well as pad foundations or pile foundations were regarded to be necessary.
