Toner DVD

The quality of PC expendable materials is just as important as the quality of the appliance itself, if a high quality standard in printing, copying and CD/DVD reproduction is to be preserved.
We can test all PC expendable materials for you in our modern test laboratories. When the tests have been passed, our certificate of conformity can vouch for the quality of your products.

The following gives a summary of individual products and how they are tested.

Toner

Refilled toner units are tested to DIN 33870 for blackening, toner adhesion and yield, to ensure even, optimum print quality. Our chemical laboratories also analyse toners and measure emissions from laser printers.

Grey levels   Grey levels are compared at the beginning and end of printing, to determine toner yield.

Inkjet cartridges

In the past, more economical third-party and recycled cartridges for inkjet printers got a bad name, for a number of reasons. There was no way for dealers and consumers to decide how to reach an objective assessment.

Now, with the introduction of E-DIN 33871-1 on the preparation of used inkjet heads and ink containers for inkjet printers, dealers and consumers can enjoy more security. The draft standard was submitted to experts for consideration in 2003 and reflects the current state of the art.

Certification depends on a total of 18 tests being passed. Above all, the ink's characteristics are tested on a comparative basis, e.g. if it smears or if it is waterproof.

An original print head or ink container is used as a reference. The so-called yield rate gives the average print capacity of refilled or alternative cartridges, compared to the original.

The LGA can offer you certification in compliance with the draft standard. That lets the target group decide on certified products, with the greatest possible "quality compatibility".

CD and DVD blanks

We currently feature two different types of tests. The main difference between the two test methods is that one represents a purely comparative test, while the other is more orientated to technical measurement values.
