Sewage plants Geotechnical problems are often encountered when building sewage plants because the deepest part of the system is frequently near a river. The Geotechnical Institute carries out all stages of planning, from initial site exploration to pre-measurement of foundations and recommendation of geotechnical building measures. During construction, our experience is available to all involved in the building process. Pipe-laying When laying pipes, the quality of the trench filling needs particular attention and assessment of geotechnical aspects. Advance site examination can check whether the excavated soil is suitable for backfilling. Soil examination in the vicinity of the pipes is also necessary to clarify the type of remediation and its extent. In certain cases, special foundations may be necessary for piping. In all cases, the Geotechnical Institute's experienced specialists are available for examinations, expert opinion and consultancy. Co-operation with the Institute for Structural Analysis ensures expert consultancy from one source. Contact
