With buildings being used longer, they must be checked for damage more often, so physical measurement is becoming increasingly important.

The LGA can provide comprehensive measuring systems to assess the fitness of buildings for use.

It is of great advantage when configuration, installation and assessment are provided by the same team of experienced construction experts:

• designing and configuration of system components for construction methods
• installing and acceptance of measurement systems
• evaluation and interpretation of measurements
• intelligent construction monitoring - online systems for ongoing control of physical factors relevant to safety (remote sensing)

Dynamic measurement and analysis

In questions of dynamics in construction, the LGA teams supply expertise from one source for the on-site measurement of vibrations and reverberations, determination of causes, expert opinion and numerical analysis.

Sensory measurements may be installed as measuring points with an alarm function for a longer period, for observation or to secure evidence. Special tasks are handled, such as the assessment of church tower vibrations, or the production of vibration forecasts. Soil failure mechanisms under dynamic load are examined in the laboratory in a specially developed resonance column appliance.
