1. Ordering EU Laws and German Regulations

The EU-Advisory centre has access to extensive European Union documentation, which, among others, includes the following publications:

• Complete collection of the Official Journal of the European Communities, rows L, C and S (supplement) with all approved and passed laws (EC guidelines, regulations, decisions, reports, etc.). These include published texts of the European Union programs and public tenders.
• Selection of consolidated laws (with incorporated changes)
• Commission Documents (COM Doc) with detailed publications of approved laws of the European Union, schemes and reports
• Collection of the judgements of the European Court of Justice
• Federal law gazette, Federal legal gazette, Bavarian law gazette and Bavarian official gazette

Example:

You would like the EC machine guideline, a current list of the associated harmonised standards as well as the German machine noise regulation. The requested documents are searched for in the aforementioned primary sources, arranged according to your needs and sent in copy. Should a document number, exact title or location not be known, the EU information officers will gladly investigate the requested regulations (see brief research below).

2. Brief Research of EU-Documents or National Regulations of other European Countries

If exact title, location or document number of the desired document or regulation is unknown, the centre offers an individual research service.

Example:

You heard/read somewhere that a new European Union regulation about product warranties has been released, which you would gladly have. In addition you want information about the terms of warranty in Switzerland.

The requested documents will be researched in listings, databases and through network partners in 30 European countries and will be copied and sent. This service is charged only in case of success.
