Vocational school ... |
 |
for environmental protection, electroplating and biotechnology
The LGA has been training specialists in electroplating for some 40 years, and since the 1970s has run full-time courses taking two years. The school trains to the level of "State-tested technician". The theoretical basis is supplied using modern teaching methods and graphic experiments. The training is backed up by practical exercises in the LGA's ultra-modern workshops for electroplating or printed circuit board production.
The profession of environmental protection technician was born at the Nuremberg vocational school for electroplating, with the first training courses in Germany starting in 1975. Beforehand, the vocational school developed a professional portfolio, in conjunction with associations, companies and the State Office for Environmental Protection. With the general growth in environmental awareness, the professional opportunities for those passing the examination have grown. Specialists in environmental protection can now find key positions, not just with authorities or associations, but also in private companies.
